How to save Reddit posts so you can find them later

Share the post or comment to Recalo. Save a post in three steps

Works for posts and comments, including the app's share links.

Tap Share on the post or comment.

Recalo shows up in your iPhone's share menu like any other app.
Choose Recalo and tap send.

Don't see Recalo? Scroll the row of apps to the end, tap More, and switch it on. On Android or a computer, copy the post's link and paste it into the Recalo web app.

What each kind of post becomes

A recipe thread is saved with the fix from the comments

The best version of a Reddit recipe is often a reply, like the cook who says to rest the dough overnight. Recalo reads the post along with its top comments, which brings the ingredients and steps in together. Scale it or switch it to metric once it's saved.

A city's "where to eat" thread becomes a note

Ask a city subreddit for tacos and you get forty replies naming twenty spots. Recalo gathers the places people recommend into one note, every spot linked to its site or to Maps.

Reddit's Saved, and where it stops

Reddit's Save is in a post's three-dot menu, and it works on comments too. What you save sits under Saved on your profile.

But Reddit's help pages don't document folders or a search in Saved, and a saved thread is still the whole thread. Using both works fine: keep Saved for reading later, and share what you want to use to Recalo.

Tips for Reddit

When the answer is in one reply, share that comment instead of the whole post.
If a recipe or list is only in a photo, take a screenshot and share that. Recalo reads photos and screenshots.
