Recalo + Perplexity

Use Recalo inside Perplexity

Add Recalo to Perplexity as a custom connector, then ask Perplexity to save what it finds straight into your Recalo library: a recipe, a restaurant, a trip plan, a reading list. It lands on your phone and the web. Custom connectors are on Perplexity Pro, Max and Enterprise.

Copy the Recalo connector URL

You paste this into Perplexity in the next step.

Connector URL https://my.recaloapp.com/api/mcp

Add it in Perplexity

On perplexity.ai in your browser.

  1. Open your connectors.

Go to Account settings, then Connectors. Click + Custom connector in the top right and choose Remote.

  2. Fill in Recalo.

Name it Recalo and paste the connector URL above into MCP Server URL. Set Authentication to OAuth and Transport to Streamable HTTP. Leave the client ID and secret empty, Recalo handles that on its own. Tick the acknowledgement box and click Add.

  3. Sign in to Recalo.

Click the Recalo card in your connectors. A Recalo sign-in window opens. Use the same account as the app and approve access.

  4. Use it in a thread.

In a new thread, turn Recalo on from the + menu in the box where you type, or type @Recalo. Then ask something small, like "what recipes do I have in Recalo?"

Things to ask

Good to know

Which plans. Custom connectors are on Perplexity Pro, Max and Enterprise. On Enterprise, an admin may need to allow members to add their own.

Don't limit sources to the web. If a thread is set to web only, Academic or Social, Perplexity doesn't call connectors.

You'll need a Recalo account. Same login as the iPhone app and the web app. Perplexity only ever sees your own library.

Free to try. A free Recalo account includes 50 saves through connected apps like Perplexity. Reading what you have saved is never counted. Recalo Pro ($3.49 a month or $34.99 a year) removes the cap.
