Recalo saves a recipe with its ingredients and steps, ready for Cook mode with Lock Screen timers, scaling and US or metric, and adds it to your grocery list. mymind files a recipe in its Recipes stack, and doesn't say it pulls out the ingredients or steps.
You save restaurants and places
Recalo saves a place with its address, phone and website, opens it in Apple or Google Maps, and turns a post with several spots into a note. Places aren't among the kinds of saves mymind's help pages list.
You want to-dos with your own dates and reminders
Recalo turns what you save into checklists, with the dates and reminders you set, and you can share one by link or email for others to edit. mymind has checklists inside notes, its pages don't mention reminders, and it promises no collaboration.
You save ideas from videos
Recalo reads the caption, what's said in the video and the top comments, so a tips or how-to reel becomes a note with the points written out. mymind keeps the video, and doesn't say it reads what's said or the comments.
You save AI answers
Share a ChatGPT, Claude or Google AI Mode answer to Recalo and it saves what's in it. mymind doesn't list AI chat links among the things you can save.
When mymind is the better pick
You want a calm, beautiful library
mymind's design is simple and visual, with Focus Mode, a clutter-free Reading Mode and no folders: Smart Spaces sort what you save on their own. Recalo has no reading mode.
You search by how things look
mymind finds a save by color or palette, by an object in a photo or the text in an image, and groups saves with the same vibe. Recalo searches in your own words, not by color.
You work on a Mac, in the browser or on Android
mymind has a Mac app, extensions for Chrome, Brave, Safari and Edge, and an Android app. Recalo has none of those: on a computer or on Android, you use the web app.
You save files, PDFs and emails
mymind keeps PDFs, videos up to 500MB on its top plan, and emails you forward to it. Recalo takes links and photos, but not PDFs, other files or email.
Privacy is the point
mymind promises no ads, no tracking and no social features, is paid for by its members, and its App Store and Google Play labels say it collects no data.
